DHAKA, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - Naim Sheikh has joined Bangladesh team in Abu
Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) today just before his side's second ODI
game against Afghanistan.

A visa complicacy made his arrival to UAE uncertain for which he missed the
first two matches.

While he somehow was able to reach UAE, Soumya who was in the T20 squad had
finally got his visa problem unresolved. Therefore Soumay couldn't play the
T20 series against Afghanistan despite being in the squad.

Naim, though, reached UAE, he will be available for selection in the playing
XI in the third and final match.

"I am happy that finally I was able to board the flight after the visa
complicacy," Naim said ahead of leaving the country.

"I was in the squad in last ODI series of Bangladesh. As has been the case, I
will try my best to show a good performance if the team management includes
me in the playing XI."
