DHAKA, Oct 29, 2025 (BSS) - West Indies Captain Shai Hope won the toss and
chose to bat first in the second T20 International against Bangladesh at Bir
Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram today.

The visiting side won the first match by 16 runs, dominating Bangladesh in
all three departments. A victory in this match will help them take an
unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

For Bangladesh, it's a 'do or die' contest to keep the series alive.
Bangladesh, however, made just one change from the previous squad, bringing
in Jaker Ali Anik in the place of Nurul Hasan Sohan.

"In the last couple of series, the bowlers did their job, as batters, we need
to come good. The wicket looks good, I think 180 will be a good score,"
Bangladesh captain Liton Das said, after assessing the pitch.

"When you are chasing a little bit of big total against any team, you want
your top-order batters to play well."

West Indies came with the same squad to seal the series as their captain Hope
believes that the pitch will be better than the previous match.

"Runs on the board is a good thing here, the pitch also looks a bit drier
here so batting first will be good. We got a brilliant template in the first
game, hopefully we can get 20 more runs than the previous time," Hope said.
