Jesy appointed as match official for Bangladesh-Ireland series

DHAKA, Nov 9, 2025 (BSS) -The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed 
female umpire Sathira Jakir Jesy as the match official for the upcoming T20 
International series against Ireland.

She will be seen officiating as fourth umpire during the second T20 and TV 
umpire in the third and final match.

The BCB also announced the list of match officials for the Test series.

Zimbabwe's Andy Pycroft, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, 
will serve as the match referee for all fixtures across both Test and T20 
formats.

Pakistan's Ahsan Raza and Australia's Sam Nogajski were appointed as the on-
field umpires for the first Test, starting from November 11 at the Sylhet 
International Cricket Stadium. England's Richard Illingworth will be the TV 
umpire for the opening Test while Bangladesh's Tanvir Ahmed will act as 
fourth umpire.

The second Test, scheduled to kick off on November 19 at the Shere Bangla 
National Stadium in Mirpur, will see Sam Nogajski and Richard Illingworth 
officiating on-field, while Ahsan Raza takes charge as the TV umpire. Masudur 
Rahman Mukul, from the BCB panel, will serve as the fourth umpire.

The local umpires will officiate all three T20 Internationals to be held in 
Chattogram on November 27, 29 and December 2. Gazi Sohel, Morshed Ali Khan, 
Masudur Rahman Mukul, and Tanvir Ahmed will rotate as on-field umpires 
throughout the three matches.
