DHAKA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali is set to play the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 after being roped in by the Sylhet Titans.

The Sylhet Titans announced the news through their social media handle today, confirming that he is their direct signing.

Earlier, they acquired the service of local players Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nasum Ahmed and Pakistan player Saim Ayub through direct signing.

“Drive, destroy, deliver. Moeen Ali is a Titan. Get out of the way,” Sylhet wrote in their official facebook page, posting a photo of Moeen Ali who has family connection in Sylhet also.

An elegant batter, also a crafty off-spinner Moeen Ali is not new in BPL. He earlier played for Comilla Victorians and Chittagong Kings.

He was one of the mainstays in all format of cricket for England national team during his playing career.

Moeen also has been playing regularly in high profile domestic leagues around the world.

Meanwhile, Sylhet named Sohel Islam as their head coach and former national opener Imrul Kayes as their batting coach.

The 12th edition of BPL is set to start on December 26.
