DHAKA, Jan 8, 2026 (BSS)—Dhaka Capitals captain Mohammad Mithun sent Sylhet Titans to bat first after winning the toss in their crucial Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) game at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Sylhet sits at the fourth spot in the point table, having won three matches in seven so far. Dhaka on the other hand are in the second bottom table at this moment after collecting four points from five matches.

A victory would see Dhaka topple Sylhet in the point table and make their case stronger for playoffs.

At the same time, a Sylhet victory would give them further edge for the playoffs spot.
