
DHAKA, Feb 1, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially
launched the ODOMMO Bangladesh T20 Cup 2026, a domestic tournament aimed at
bringing together the country's best T20 players and delivering high-
intensity cricket.
With Bangladesh set to miss this year's ICC Men's T20 World Cup due to
security concerns in India, the BCB decided to organize the tournament to
ensure that national cricketers remain competitive and active.
The board today also announced the squads of the three participating teams -
Dhumketu XI, Durbar XI and Duronto XI. The tournament will feature prize
money and player fees worth a total of Tk 2.5 crore.
Bangladesh T20 captain Liton Das will lead Dhumketu XI, while Najmul Hossain
Shanto has been named captain of Durbar XI. Akbar Ali will captain Duronto
XI.
Mohammad Salauddin has been appointed head coach of Dhumketu XI, with
Mohammad Ashraful serving as his assistant. Mizanur Rahman and Tushar Imran
will be in charge of Durbar XI, while Hannan Sarkar will work as head coach
of Duronto XI, assisted by Rajin Saleh.
All matches of the tournament will be played under floodlights at the Sher-e-
Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The group-stage matches will be held on February 5, 6 and 7, with the final
scheduled for February 9. To enhance the match-day experience, cultural
programmes will take place each evening from 4 pm, followed by the cricket
action starting at 6 pm.
The BCB has also announced ticket prices for the tournament. Tickets for the
Eastern Gallery will be available at Tk 100, while North and South Stand
tickets will cost Tk 200. Club House tickets are priced at Tk 500, and Grand
Stand tickets will be sold for Tk 1,000.
