DHAKA, Feb 6, 2026 (BSS)-Nurul Hasan Sohan smashed a brilliant 44 ball-76 to lead Durbar XI to a thrilling two-wicket win over Dhumketu XI in the Odommo
Bangladesh T20 Cup today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Durbar's victory over Dhumketu cracked the tournament wide open, leaving all three teams an equal chance to make it the final.

Durbar's match against Duronto XI, the other team of the tournament, tomorrow (Saturday) will decide which two teams will play the final

Earlier in the first game of the tournament, Dhumketu beat Duronto by six wickets.

Dhumketu was in the firm control in this game also, keeping them in the track of the final but Sohan's heroic snatched the victory from the jaws of the
defeat.

His 26 runs off pacer Shoriful Islam including four sixes in the penultimate over turned the tide completely toward Durbar when they required 33 runs off
the last two overs. That incredible aggression left Durbar require only seven runs for the victory in the last over.

Sohan who clobbered four fours and six sixes in his knock was trapped run out in the last over after trying to steal a cheeky single but that mattered
little eventually.

Hasan Mahmud struck a boundary in the first ball he faced to guide the side to the victory as Durbar overhauled Dhumketu's 156-8 with 157-8 in 19.3
overs.

The victory looked a distant dream for Durbar when Mahedi Hasan ripped through their batting line up, leaving them at struggling 81-6. Mahedi who
eventually ended with 4-11 in four overs, firstly struck twice to claim the wicket of Durbar skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (2) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy
(13).

He then removed Afif Hossain (1) and Jaker Ali Anik (11) before Nasum Ahmed got the better of opener Habibur Rahman Sohan who made 17 off 9.

Sohan who came to bat at No.5 position shared 41 runs with Saifuddin (19) to give the innings some stability.

After the departure of Saifuddin, Sohan launched a spectacular attack on Shoriful to pave the way for a victory that looked unlikely.

Earlier, Captain Liton Das continued his rich vein of form by powering Dhumketu XI to 156-8.

Liton who hammered 43 ball-65 not out in Dhumketu's six-wicket win over Duronto a day ago, this time made team-best 43 off 37 with five fours.

His innings was solely responsible to take the side past 150-run mark amid the disciplined bowling of Drubar bowlers in favourable pitch.

Saif Hasan who also hit a half-century in the first match, scored 28 off 20 with two fours and as many sixes but his fellow opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim
failed once again.

Tanzid was dismissed for duck in the first ball he faced from Hasan Mahmud before Liton and Saif steadied the innings.

Saifuddin broke the stand by removing Saif after which Dhumketu XI lost wickets in regular intervals.

Liton held one end astutely to rotate the scoreboard amid the wickets tumbling around.

However, left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam got the better of him with a return catch but Mahedi Hasan stood tall to give the finishing touch with 27 ball-31 not out.

Hasan Mahmud and Tanvir claimed two wickets apiece for Durbar XI.
