DHAKA, March 1, 2026 (BSS)—Opener Jishan Alam smashed a 93 ball-127 runs knock as Central Zone confirmed the final of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) one-day competition with a two-wicket win over North Zone in a high-scoring thriller at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium.

North Zone, however, confirmed the final earlier, meaning they will take on Central Zone against in the final match, to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday.

Put into bat first, North Zone compiled a hefty 322-7, raising a prospect of staying unbeaten in the group phase but that was eventually not to be.

Towhid Hridoy led the charge with a 113 ball-102, an innings studded with eight fours. Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim paved the platform, albeit he missed out on the ton after making run-a-ball-92 with nine fours and four sixes.

Sabbir Rahman rolled back his heydays by giving the finishing touch with 73 off 51, laced with three fours and five sixes.

But all their effort went in vein when Jishan struck his maiden List a century. His whirlwind start was key as Central Zone gunned down the gigantic target with four balls to spare, reaching 325-8.

Jishan struck 16 fours and five sixes in his 127 off 92. Mahfijul Islam Robin made 54 off 81 while Mosaddek Hossain Saikat also made 54 but his knock came off just 26 deliveries and he stayed unbeaten after confirming the side’s victory.
