Men's, women's kabaddi team meet BKF president

DHAKA, April 16, 2026 (BSS) - The players of the Bangladesh men's and women's kabaddi teams today paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh Police and president of the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF), Md. Ali Hossain Fakir prior to the departure of China.

The Bangladesh men's and women's kabaddi teams will take part in the 6th Asian Beach Games are set to begin on April 22 in Sanya, Hainan Province in China.

During the meeting, the IGP encouraged the players to boost their morale and urged them to play their best while maintaining the country's honor on foreign soil.

Apart from the players, top officials of the Kabaddi Federation including BKF general secretary SM Newaz Sohag, its joint secretary and team official DIG of Police Israel Hawlader, BKF member and men's team coach Badsha Mia, women's team coach Shahnaz Parveen Maleka and BKF treasurer Masudur Rahman Chunnu were also present at the time.
