DHAKA, June 3, 2026 (BSS)- The Bangladesh national team cricketers will be allowed to play one more round of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) before
joining the camp for the upcoming white-ball series against Australia.

The decision was taken in response to requests from participating clubs, allowing national players to represent their respective teams in the ninth
round of the league scheduled for June 5, Cricket Operations Department of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed here today.

BCB officials believe the move will help players maintain match fitness and competitive rhythm ahead of the international assignment. The board has
permitted the cricketers to continue in the domestic competition until June 5 before they report to the national camp.

Bangladesh are set to host Australia for a limited-overs series comprising three ODIs and three T20 Internationals. The series forms an important part
of Bangladesh's international calendar and preparations.

Australia are currently touring Pakistan for an ODI series. The final match of that series is scheduled to be held in Lahore on June 4.

Following the conclusion of the tour, the Australian team is expected to travel directly to Bangladesh and arrive in Dhaka on June 5.

Bangladesh's national players will join the team camp immediately after fulfilling their DPL commitments. The team's official training camp is
scheduled to begin on June 6, when preparations for the Australia series will enter the final phase.

Meanwhile, the race for the DPL title remains highly competitive. Mohammedan Sporting Club lead the standings with 14 points from eight matches, having
secured seven victories. Abahani Limited and Prime Bank Cricket Club are tied on 12 points after winning six matches each.

Defending champions Abahani sit at second place due to a superior net run rate of 2.154, while Prime Bank are third with a net run rate of 0.96.
