BAGERHAT, June 13, 2026 (BSS)- The four-team football tournament formally inaugurated on Friday at the traditional Karri-Khudrachakshri football ground in Bagerhat Sadar upazila.
Dr Prakash Kumar Debnath, Deputy Director (Acting) of Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital, Khulna, inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
Major (retd) Sheikh Jihaduzzaman Jihad was present there as the special guest in the opening ceremony.
Speaking as the chief guest in the opening ceremony, the chief guest said, sports not only ensure physical fitness, it also plays an important role in developing discipline, brotherhood and leadership qualities.
A large number of spectators and local sports enthusiasts were present at the event and enjoyed the match.
