3,000 farmers get incentive for Aush cultivation in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, April 23, 2025 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) has started distributing seeds and fertilizers as special incentives to 3,000 poor and marginal farmers in all seven upazilas of the district to boost Aush cultivation.
 
Each farmer is getting five kilogrammes of quality seeds, 10 kgs of Di-ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and 10 kgs of Muriate of Potash (MoP) free of cost for cultivating Aush paddy on one bigha of land, according to the DAE officials.

Aush cultivation has been increasing steadily in the district, as farmers remain optimistic about good yields, the sources added.
