Farmers busy cultivating Aman paddy in Bogura

BOGURA, Aug 29, 2025 (BSS) – Farmers are passing busy time in cultivating Aman paddy on their farming land during the current season in Bogura district.

Officials of Bogura Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) said a total of 1 lakh 83 thousand and 500 hectares of land have been brought under Aman cultivation this year.  

Usually Aman seedlings are planted from the end of July till the first week of September. As favorable weather condition is prevailing, farmers of the district are expecting a bumper production of Aman paddy.  

Farmers of the distrisct are very happy this year, as Aman paddy is growing well due to frequent rainfall.   

Local DAE office sources said as they (farmers) were given HYV (higher yielding variety) seeds, it boosted the production of Aman paddy in the district.
