Farida Akhter urges UKBCCI leaders to invest in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Jan 5, 2025 (BSS) - Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter today urged the leaders of the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI) to invest in Bangladesh and contribute to the country's development.

She made the call when representatives from UKBCCI met the adviser at her office here, said a press release.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral trade relations and investment opportunities in Bangladesh.

The UKBCCI representatives expressed their keenness in investing in Bangladesh's seafood and agro industry.

Secretary of Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Md Tofazzal Hossain, UKBCCI chairman Iqbal Ahmed, president MG Moula Mia, founding president Bazlur Rashid and Bangladesh regional president Showkat Aziz Russel, among others, were present.
