Visa urges consumers to follow safety measures

DHAKA, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) – Global digital payment giant, Visa has unveiled two safety advices for consumers to be stayed secured in digital transaction.

On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, Visa has rendered these ways of safety as fraud and data breaches continue to grow across the world and in Bangladesh, said a press release today. 

Visa highlighted the immediate need of self awareness and caution of consumers with updated security measures to safeguard personal and financial information.

Sabbir Ahmed, Visa Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan said Visa is sharing how consumers and cardholders can protect their digital information and pay safer digitally on the occasion of Safer Internet Day.

Banks and networks like Visa are working continuously enhance their infrastructure and ecosystems, he added.

As part of the security tips, Visa emphasized to secure user’s devices with biometrics, use trusted websites, read privacy policies and know what to do if he/she is a victim of fraud.
