KHULNA, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) - Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin has said the government will revise the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) cards with raising it to one crore.

"The government will correct the TCB card with increasing it to one crore and these works will be done as soon as possible", he said.

The adviser made the remark while addressing a view exchange meeting with TCB dealers and other stakeholders at the Khulna deputy commissioner's conference room yesterday.

He said those who are merely needy and eligible would be brought under the TCB card.

"Huge anomalies were there with the TCB card in the past...We will never do that what fascist had done. There would be no difference with them (fascist) if we do what they have done", he added.

Talking about TCB card activation and commodity distribution, the commerce adviser said the existing challenge would be resolved in combination with all.

He gave instructions to the concerned officials not to consider political division in providing TCB cards.

TCB Chairman Brigadier General Mohammad Faisal Azad spoke at the function as the special guest with Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam in the chair.
