DHAKA, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS) - The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has sought
budget proposals from all concerned to prepare a participatory, pro-people
and balanced budget for the next fiscal year (FY26).

The NBR usually seeks budget proposals and thus hold consultations with the
taxpayers at all levels, various industrial and trade bodies, trade
associations, professional organizations, research institutions and the
intellectual community.

In continuation of this, the revenue board is inclined to frame the next
budget through consultations to make the revenue generation operations for
the next fiscal year more meaningful, analytic and representative.

In order to assist in the budget preparation, the NBR has requested various
chambers and associations to send their respective budget proposals to the
Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) in written
form by March 20, 2025.

At the same time, the interested are requested to send another softcopy of
the proposal (NikoshBAN) to the National Board of Revenue through e-mail
[email protected], said an NBR press release.

The NBR will consider the received proposals with due importance.

It said that those firms which are not members of concerned chambers or
associations would also be able to send their budget proposals to the NBR
through the above mentioned email.

The NBR also hoped that with the concerted efforts from all, it would be
possible to prepare a participatory, pro-people, industry, business and
taxpayer friendly budget and at the same time revenue potential budget for
the next fiscal year (2025-2026).
