TOKYO, April 7, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Japan's key Nikkei 225 index of shares plunged 7.8 percent on Monday as US tariffs and China's reprisals spooked investors across Asia.

Futures were also pointing to further losses in Europe and on Wall Street after US President Donald Trump announced a raft of steep tariffs on imports and China responded with like-for-like levies.
