Hong Kong stocks jump more than 3% on China-US tariff suspension

HONG KONG, May 12, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Hong Kong stocks jumped more than three percent Monday after China and the United States announced a suspension of their stiff tariffs in a bid to ease trade tensions between the economic superpowers.

The Hang Seng Index surged 3.34 percent, or 762.94 points, to 23,630.68.
