BB distributes loan worth Tk 1 crore among marginalized communities in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, May 12, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Bank (BB) today distributed Taka 1 crore as loans among marginalized communities, including farmers, low-income professionals and small businessmen in the district.

Under its refinance scheme, the central bank distributed the loans among Taka 10, Taka 50 and Taka 100 account holders.

BB Executive Director Roop Ratan Pain distributed the loans as the chief guest at a function held at Zilla Parishad building at Rangamati while Deputy Managing Director of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Md. A. Rahim presided over it.

A total of Taka 1 crore was distributed among 25 borrowers through 21 banks at the loan distribution ceremony.
