Special service operations of CAG Office inaugurated

DHAKA, May 12, 2025 (BSS) – A four-day special service operations was inaugurated today at all the audit and accounts offices throughout the country marking the 52nd anniversary of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General.

To mark the anniversary, a discussion meeting was held online where the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (CAG) Md Nurul Islam spoke as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, the CAG directed all concerned to discharge their duties and responsibilities going beyond the traditional thoughts through pursuing innovative ways and putting utmost emphasis on public interest, said a press release.

He said that the audit and accounts department plays a very important role in evaluating whether the public fund is spent effectively or cost efficiently.

The CAG mentioned that alongside service automation, this department has been rendering services efficiently to various service recipients, especially the esteemed pensioners, public servants and other service recipients with sincerity while the service recipients are also expressing their satisfaction after getting the due services with ease and comfort.

Md Nurul Islam also urged all concerned officials and employees of the CAG to discharge their duties with utmost honesty, integrity and sincerity.

Office of the Controller General of Accounts SM Rezvi, Deputy CAG (senior) Md Shariful Islam, CGDF AHM Shamsur Rahman and other senior officials took part in the meeting through online.

Under the special service operations, the interested service seekers are being provided with various types of audit related services, salaries, allowances, pension, GPF and other services.
