Newly elected Board of BGMEA take charge for 2025-2027 term

DHAKA, June 16, 2025 (BSS) - The newly elected Board of Directors of the 
Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) led by its 
President Mahmud Hasan Khan took charge of the trade body for the term 2025-
2027.

Outgoing Administrator Anwar Hossain and the Support Committee of BGMEA 
handed over the responsibility to Mahmud Hasan Khan and the new Board at an 
event held at BGMEA Complex today.

Former BGMEA Presidents and a large number of members attended the charge 
handover ceremony and congratulated the new board.

The new Office Bearers include Salim Rahman as First Vice President, Inamul 
Haq Khan as Senior Vice President, Mijanur Rahman as Vice President for 
Finance, Md Rezwan Selim, Vidiya Amrit Khan, Md Sehab Udduza Chowdhury, and 
Mohammad Rafique Chowdhury as Vice Presidents.

The other Board of Directors from Dhaka are Shah Rayeed Chowdhury, Mohammed 
Abdur Rahim, Faisal Samad, Md Hasib Uddin, Mohammed Abdus Salam, Nafis-Ud-
Doula, Sumaiya Islam, Fahima Akhter, Majumdar Arifur Rahman, Anwar Hossain 
Chowdhury, Sheikh Hossain Muhammad Mustafiz, Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Joarder 
Mohammed Hosne Quamar Alam, A.B.M. Shamsuddin, Asef Kamal Pasha, Dr. Rashid 
Ahamed Hossaini, Faruque Hassan, Rumana Rashid, Mohammed Sohel, Samiha Azim 
while Directors from Chattogram are Md M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Syed Mohammed 
Tanvir, Sakeef Ahmed Salam, Md Shaif Ullah Mansur, Enamul Aziz Chowdhury, S M 
Abu Tayyab, and Rakibul Alam Chowdhury.

On behalf of Sammilito Parishad, its President Quazi Moniruzzaman and General 
Secretary and Managing Director of Chaity Group Abul Kalam and on behalf of 
the Oikya Parishad, Chairman of Romo Group Mohammad Mohsin (CIP) extended 
their congratulations to the newly elected BGMEA Board of Directors with 
presenting a bouquet.

Fazlee Shamim Ehsan, Executive President of BKMEA; and Md Rokonuzzaman, 
Managing Director of RL Apparels Ltd., representing the non-bonded SME sector 
congratulated the new board by presenting bouquets and expressing their best 
wishes.
