3 dengue patients die, 782 hospitalised in last 24 hrs

DHAKA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS) - A total of three dengue patients died and 782 have been hospitalised across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

 "During the period, 174 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division while 83 were hospitalised in Chattogram, 145 in Dhaka division, 118 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 90 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 57 in Khulna, 35 in Mymensingh, 64 in Rajshahi, 11 in Rangpur and five were admitted to different hospitals in Sylhet division," said a press release,  issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 50,689 while 215 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, were reported this year.

During the same period, 745 patients were released from different hospitals across the country.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
