DHAKA, June 30, 2025 (BSS) - The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has
announced that submission of Certificates, Licenses, and Permits (CLPs) for
import and export consignments will be mandatory through the Bangladesh
Single Window (BSW) system from July 1, 2025.

Implemented under an NBR-led project, the BSW is an integrated online
platform that allows businesses to apply for and receive all necessary CLPs
in a fully automated process, NBR said in a press release today.

To access the system, importers and exporters must register at
www.bswnbr.gov.bd using their Business Identification Number (BIN).

The NBR said the BSW system brings significant benefits for the country's
trade environment, including a single online platform for simultaneous CLP
processing by 19 designated government agencies, reduced human interaction
for greater transparency, faster and more cost-effective trade operations,
and increased confidence among domestic and foreign investors.

As of June 30, 2025, a total of 389,015 CLPs have been issued automatically
through the BSW, with 85.97% processed in under one hour and 94.63% within
one day, the release said.

The 19 agencies that will now require CLP submissions through BSW include:
DGDA, EPB, DOEX, BNACWC, BEZA, BEPZA, DOE, BSTI, BAERA, BAEC, CAAB, BTRC,
DOF, DLS, PQW, BIDA, BGMEA, BKMEA, and CCI&E.

The NBR has urged all stakeholders involved in the import-export trade to
cooperate in the effective implementation of the Bangladesh Single Window
(BSW) system to ensure smoother, more efficient customs clearance processes.
