Remittance inflow witnesses 11.6pc growth till Sept 3

DHAKA, Sept 04, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 11.6 percent (pc), reaching US$343 million in the first three days of September, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.

Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $307 million.

During the July 2025 to September 3, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $5,242 million, which was only $4,445 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
