16.9pc growth of remittance inflow till Sept 8

DHAKA, Sept 9, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 16.9 percent reaching US$881 million in the first eight days of September, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $753 million.
 
During the July 2025 to September 8, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $5,780 million, which was $4,991 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
