Stocks continue rally for fourth day

DHAKA, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS) - Stocks today also maintained rally for the third consecutive day as investors continued their buying spree on large-cap issues amid optimism.

DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, advanced by 54.50 points to settle at 4,901.38 points. Two other indices also ended higher with the DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, rose 3.66 points to finish at 1,893.43 and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 11.74 points to close at 1,029.41.

At DSE, out of the day's 376 securities, prices of 310 securities closed higher against 36 losing issues.

The day's trade value at the DSE decreased to Taka 4,205.56 million which was Taka 4,755.33 million at the previous session of the week. 

The major gaining issues were RAHIMFOOD, SONARGAON, RUNNERAUTO, NAHEEACP AND FARCHEM while the major losing companies were ISNLTD, SIMTEX, MERCINS, ZEALBANGLA AND ICBAGRANI1.

 The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with an upward trend with its major CASPI 114.94 points up at 13,641.42. 

At the CSE, 160 issues were traded. Of those, 125 closed higher and 25 closed lower when 71.68 lakh shares worth Taka 9.42 crore changed hands.
