42.1pc growth of remittance inflow till Dec 7

DHAKA, Dec 07, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 42.1 percent reaching US$876 million in the seven days of December, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $616 million.
 
During the July to Dec 7, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $13,915 million, which was $11,754 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
