22.6pc growth of remittance inflow till Dec 9

DHAKA, Dec 10, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 22.6 percent reaching US$1161 million in the nine days of December, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $945 million.
 
During the July to Dec 9, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $14,200 million, which was $12,085 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
