DHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) - The Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC (CSE)  has expressed profound grief and shock over the death of Begum Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
 
In a condolence message issued today, CSE Chairman AKM Habibur Rahman, speaking on behalf of the exchange and its Board of Directors, conveyed their deepest sympathies.
 
The CSE leadership characterized Begum Khaleda Zia as a three-time successful Prime Minister and an uncompromising leader in the nation’s struggle for democracy.
 
The CSE added her death represents the loss of a national guardian and constitutes an irreparable loss for the entire country.
 
The CSE further noted that the nation would forever remember her significant contributions with the deepest respect.
 
In the message, the CSE offered prayers for the eternal peace of her departed soul and extended heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family members.
