
DHAKA, Jan 18, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh has successfully concluded its participation at Heimtextil 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles, reinforcing its status as a competitive destination for global sourcing.
Held from January 13 to 16 in Frankfurt, the event served as a vital platform for the nation to display its growing capabilities and product innovations to an international audience.
A key highlight of this year's participation was the collaboration between private industry and the government.
Bangladesh was represented by 15 exhibitors, comprising a strategic mix of direct exhibitors and companies supported by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
This delegation joined over 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, engaging with thousands of sourcing professionals, designers, and buyers attending the fair.
Exhibitors reported a highly encouraging overall experience characterized by a consistent flow of visitors and productive business discussions.
Industry representatives noted strong interest specifically from buyers in Europe and North America, with many companies expressing optimism regarding the potential to convert these meetings into concrete business leads in the upcoming months.
