53.9pc growth of remittance inflow till Feb 8

DHAKA, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 53.9 percent reaching $1,032 million in the first eight days of February, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.

Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $671 million.

During the July to February 8, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $20,465 million, which was $16,633 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
