Remittance inflow grows 28.4pc till Feb 22

DHAKA, Feb 23, 2026 (BSS) - Remittance inflow grew by 28.4 percent year-on-year, reaching $2,478 million in the first 22 days of February, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data issued today. 

Last year, during the same period, the country received US$1,930 million in remittances. 
 
During July to February 22 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent US$21,910 million in remittances compared to US$17,892 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
