CCCI elections on April 4

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 07, 2026 (BSS)- The election to Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will be held on April 4. 

The deadline for collection of voter ID card has been fixed March 31. Voters were urged to collect their ID cards by submitting the required documents.

In a press release on Saturday, Joint Secretary of the CCCI Nurul Absar Chowdhury said the organizations those have not yet obtained their voter ID cards are reminded to do so by submitting their updated original chamber certificates during office hours before the deadline. 

It may be mentioned that voter ID cards are required to vote in the chamber elections. The voting process for the biennial elections of CCCI-2025 will take place on April 4, 2026, from 9 am to 4 pm at the World Trade Center, Agrabad. 

This decision was made based on the legal opinion of the Ministry of Commerce. The election will involve voting for 18 directors of the Ordinary and Associate Group of The CCCI.

The announcement of the election date has been posted on the Chamber's notice board, website, and Facebook page, and members have been informed via SMS. 

The election, originally scheduled for November 1, was postponed by the court on October 30, 2025.
