BEPZA secures US$15.34m investment to establish high-end apparel factory at BEPZA EZ

DHAKA, March 8, 2026 (BSS) - Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co. Ltd., a China 
(Hong Kong)-based company, is set to invest US$ 15.34 million to establish a 
high-end garments manufacturing industry at the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA 
EZ) located in Mirsharai, Chattogram.

An agreement to this effect was signed today at the BEPZA Complex, Dhaka, 
between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Flourish 
Garments Bangladesh Co. Ltd.

Md. Tanvir Hossain, executive director (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and 
Han Junxiao, managing director of Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co., Ltd, 
signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides. 

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, witnessed 
the signing ceremony, said a press release here today.

The company will produce annually 4 million pieces of fleece jacket, soft-
shell jacket, down jacket, cotton coat, leather jacket, underwear, T-shirt, 
polo shirt, shorts, parkas, coat, long pant, ski suit, ski pant, windproof 
jacket, fishing suit, hiking suit, yoga suit, running suit, jeans, knitted 
shorts, faux leather clothing, deer skin velvet clothing, golf clothing, 
casual skirt. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for 
some 1,988 Bangladeshi nationals.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, BEPZA Executive Chairman warmly welcomed 
Flourish Garments Bangladesh Co. Ltd. as a valued member of the BEPZA family 
and assured the company of BEPZA's full support to ensure smooth and 
successful business operations in the zone. He noted that BEPZA continues to 
expand its facilities and develop new zones to accommodate growing investor 
interest and further strengthen Bangladesh's export-oriented industrial base.

The Executive Chairman also urged the newly-joined investor to encourage and 
attract more high-quality and responsible investors to BEPZA zones, 
contributing to sustainable industrial growth and export diversification of 
Bangladesh.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by Abdullah Al Mamun, member 
(Engineering); A N M Foyzul Haque, member (Finance); Samir Biswas, executive 
director (Administration); ASM Anwar Parvez, executive director (Public 
Relations) along with other senior officials of BEPZA and representatives of 
the company.
