DHAKA, July 26, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh received US$2.30 billion in workers' remittances during the first 25 days of July 2026, marking a 20.6 percent year-on-year increase compared with US$1.91 billion received during the corresponding period of July 2025, according to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank.

The central bank data showed that expatriate Bangladeshis sent US$129 million in remittances between July 23 and July 25 alone.

The strong inflow in the opening month of the 2026-27 fiscal year reflects the continued contribution of Bangladeshi migrant workers to the country's foreign exchange reserves and overall economic stability.
