Four BNP men held in Sylhet

SYLHET, Jan 5, 2024 (BSS) - Police held four BNP men as they blocked a busy

street of the metropolitan city in the name of distributing leaflets today.

The detainees were identified as Fisheries Secretary of district unit BNP
Jalal Khan, Sylhet city unit leader Ali Haider Moznu, BNP leader Akbar and an
activist could not be identified.

Deputy Police Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan police Azbahar Ali Sheikh
PPM said leaders and activists of district and city unit BNP were
distributing anti-election leaflets blocking the road at Abbarkhan point in
the town after Jumma prayer. Police requested them for leaving the road but
they denied and exchanged hot words with policemen. At a stage police
dispersed them and held the four BNP men in Ambarkhan area.
