BDRCS, NGO Federation distribute blankets in C'nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 16, 2024 (BSS) - Two organisations distributed blankets

among poor cold-hit people of the district yesterday as the temperature
continuous to decrease.

Chairman of Chapainawabganj Zila Parishad Bir Muktijoddha Md. Ruhul Amin
distributed the blankets at a function arranged on the premises of Nawabganj
Club in the town as the chief guest, organised by Chapainawabganj district
unit of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS).

Among others, executive member of Chapainawabganj district unit of BDRCS
Ferdousi Islam Jesi, its general secretary Syed Hasan Mahmud Santu, executive
members Abu Suffian and Al Kamal Ibrahim Ratan, unit level officer Mahmudur
Rahman and Chief of District Jubo Red Crescent Shamim Reza were present
during the distribution.

The speakers asked the affluent section of the society to come forward and
stand beside the destitute people during the natural disasters.

Besides, Chapainawabganj NGO Federation distributed blankets among 500
destitute people of the district in another function at the office of non-
government voluntary organisation RSDF.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Chapainawabganj sadar Tasmina Khatun
attended the function as the chief guest with Executive Director of the
organisation Monjurul Islam Babu Khan in the chair.

Area Manager of BURO Bangladesh Masud Rana, District Co-ordinator of BRAC
Momena Khatun, Area Manager of United Development Initiatives for Programmed
Actions- UDDIPAN Md. Isahaq Ali and Deputy Project Manager of Sheba
Foundation Nuruzzaman were present, among others.
