Language Martyrs Day being observed in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, Feb 21, 2024 (BSS) - Language Martyrs day and International Mother Language Day is being observed with due respect in the district with paying rich tribute to the martyrs.

Md Naimuzaman Mukta, MP, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Johurul Islam, Police Super S M Sirajul Huda, former lawmaker Mojaharul Houque Prodhan and Zila Awami League General Secretary Anawr Sadat Samrat laid wreaths at the altar of local Shaheed Minar at one minute past zero hours last.

Leaders of different political parties, socio cultural and professional organizations and people from all walks of life laid wreaths at the altar of central Shaheed Minar.

The national flag was hoisted at half-mast atop all public offices. Programs also included Milad and Doa Mahfil and discussions marking the day.
