State Minister Abdul Wadud pays tributes to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, March 6, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives Md Abdul Wadud, MP, today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

After laying the wreath, the state minister stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.

Later, he offered prayers seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.

A special prayer was offered seeking longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.

The state minister also signed the visitors' book there.

Md Azharul Islam, deputy director of the local government department of the deputy commissioner's office, Tungipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Mnainul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tungipara Police Station Khandaker Aminul Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tungipara Tourist Police GM Hamidur Rahman, family members of the state minister, senior officials of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives, leaders and workers of Awami League and allied organizations, among others, were present.
