JAMALPUR, May 30, 2024 (BSS) - Rayhan Rahamatulyah and Md Didarul Pasha have been elected chairmen in Madarganj and Melandah upazila parishads election respectively in the district.

The results signed by concerned returning officers were declared last night.

Rayhan Rahamatulyah got 41,322 votes with Cup-saucer symbol while his nearest rival Md Obidur Rahman Belal earned 25,225 votes with Inkpot-pen symbol.

In the upazila election, Md Helalur Rahman was elected as vice-chairman and Laili Begum as Mohila vice-chairman.

In Melandah, Md Didarul Pasha was elected as chairman for Melandha upazila Parishad securing 78,667 votes with Motorcycle symbol while his only rival Md Emdadul Islam got 12,311 votes with Pineapple symbol.

Besides, Md Ibrahim Khalilullyah and Zonaki were elected as vice-chairman and Mohila vice-chairman respectively in the upazila election.
