Moazzem, Ahammad elected chairmen of Baraigram, Gurudaspur upazila Parishads

NATORE, May 30, 2024 (BSS) - Md Moazzem Hossain and Ahammad Ali were elected chairmen for Baraigram and Gurudaspur upazila Parishad in the district in the 3rd phase of 6th upazila Parishad election held yesterday.

Additional District Magistrate and Returning Officer Md Arif Hossain announced the result last night.

Md Moazzem Hossain earned 40247 votes while his rival candidate Md Anisur Rahman got 24634 votes in Baraigram upazila Parishad election. Rezaul Karim and Chamely Begum were elected as Vice Chairman and Mohila Vice Chairman in the upazila.

Besides, Ahammad Ali secured 20359 votes while his closest rival Md Atiar Rahman bagged 19903 votes in Gurudaspur upazila Parishad election held yesterday in the district. Md Shariful Islam and Shahida Akter Mita were elected as Vice Chairman and Mohila vice chairman in the upazila.
