Ctg people hail proposed budget for 2024-25

CHATTOGRAM, June 6, 2024 (BSS) - Leaders of different trade bodies, entrepreneurs, economists and leaders of political parties hailed the announced proposed national budget for fiscal 2024-2025 and termed it as pragmatic and development-oriented one.

They termed the budget as development oriented and life and lively-hood friendly budget.
 
 In a reaction to BSS, president of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce & Industries (CCCI) Omar Hajjaz welcomed the budget and said the budget will help in building a smart Bangladesh and enrich the domestic industry by discouraging imports.

 Terming it's a challenging budget, Khalilur Rahman, president of Chattogram Metropolitan Chamber, said it's make a happy, prosperous, advanced and Smart Bangladesh'.

City Awami League President Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury and its General Secretary AJM Nashir Uddin welcomed the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024-25 as a realistic proposal with a commitment to build a prosperous, developed and smart Bangladesh.
 
They made this demand in an immediate statement on the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on Thursday afternoon.
 
Terming the proposed budget as production and employment opportunity oriented one, President of Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries Monowara Hakim Ali said the business entrepreneurs will feel encouraged to invest in industry which will result in generating employment opportunity in the country.

City Jatiya Party (JP) leader Solaiman Alam Sheth termed the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024-25 though apparently ambitious but it is development oriented which would create vast opportunities for businessmen and private sector.

He, however, demanded of the government allocation of special budget for overall development of Chattogram.

Chattogram south district AL President Motaherul Islam Chowdhury said the pro-people budget would play a significant role to boost the economy, alleviate poverty and improve quality of education, empower women and industrialization.

He congratulated the government for proposing such an ambitious and challenging budget. He termed the budget as development oriented and life and lively-hood friendly budget.

Different unites of Bangladesh Chhatra League also brought out separate processions welcoming the budget.

Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali today placed a Taka 7,97,000 crore national budget for the coming fiscal with a prime focus on maintaining economic stability and augmenting steps to materialise the government's "Smart Bangladesh" vision.
