Wildlife Olympiad held in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, June 28, 2024 (BSS) - District Forests, Environment and Climate
Change Office organised the Wildlife Olympiad 2024 in the town today for the
first time under the slogan "Smart youth will save the forest".

The programme was held with secondary and higher secondary students of the
district to sensitise them about the need to conserve wildlife and their
habitats beyond textbooks.

Principal of Chandpur Government College Asit Baran Das inaugurated the
Olympiad at the college premises this morning by flying balloons and singing
the national anthem.

Director of Exams Evaluation and Certification of Non-Government Teachers'
Association and Certification (NTRC) Md Abdur Rahman, Education Officer Rupok
Rai, District Forest Official Md Tajul Islam and the District Convener of the
Olympiad Alam Palash were present, among others.

As many as 500 students took part in the wildlife Olympiad.
