Adult peer educators training for child protection held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, July 9, 2024 (BSS)- A daylong training on role and responsibility of adult peer educators to protect children was held here today.

On behalf of its project titled "Children No Better-Making Child Participation the Key to Improving Effectiveness of Action against Sexual Exploitation of Children", Association for Community Development (ACD) organized the training at its conference hall supported by Acpet International.

The project being implemented in Rajshahi city and Godagari and Mohanpur upazilas is intended to build a congenial atmosphere for the children through preventing all sorts of repression and oppression.

A total of 10 peer leaders selected from the project-covering areas joined the training and they were given ideas and knowledge on how to protect their nearby children and youths from harassment and repression.

Muhammad Ali Ahmed, Coordinator of the project, gave an overview of their project along with its aims, objectives and implementation strategy, while Community Mobilizer Mantaka Akter conducted the session related to digital literacy.

In separate group discussions, the participants discussed elaborately about the best uses of the national emergency services and communications.
