Training for children safeguarding and reporting mechanism held in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, July 28, 2024 (BSS)- A daylong training for children on safeguarding and reporting mechanisms was held here today aimed at protecting the children from all sorts of violations and exploitation.

Association for Community Development (ACD) organized the training at its conference hall supported by ECPAT International.

 The project being implemented in Rajshahi city and Godagari and Mohanpur upazilas  intended to build a congenial atmosphere for the children through preventing all sorts of repression and oppression.

A total of 25 child leaders selected from the project-covering areas joined the training and they were given ideas and knowledge on how to protect their nearby children and youths from harassment and repression.

 Muhammad Ali Ahmed, Coordinator of the project, gave an overview of their project along with its aims, objectives and implementation strategy, while Programme Officer Atia Tansima and Community Mobilizer Mantaka Akter conducted the session related to digital literacy.

 In separate group discussions, the participants discussed elaborately about the best uses of the national emergency services and communications.
