BSCIC Trade Fair-2025 begins in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Jan 28, 2025 (BSS) - A 7-day BSCIC (Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation) Trade Fair-2025 has begun at the park of Gaibandha Municipality this noon. 

BSCIC has arranged the fair in cooperation with district administration on the occasion of Youth Festival-2025. 

In the fair, a freelancer summit would be held where as many as 1,800 youth freelancers of the district would gather enthusiastically and present their successful stories on freelancing to inspire other youths to be successful freelancers in a bid to be self-dependent economically.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chowdhury Muazzam Ahmed formally inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while ADC-General AKM Hedayetul Islam presided over the inaugural ceremony.

General Manager (Marketing) of BSCIC, Dhaka, Zahangir Alam, convener of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, district unit, Masud Rana, president of Bangladesh Chhatra Dal Gaibandha Govt. College unit, Arshad Aiyub Jahid and a successful freelancer Sahadat Hossain Shahid addressed the function, among others. 

The speakers urged the freelancers to be more serious in freelancing activity to earn foreign remittance in order to change their socio-economic condition and to push forward the backward district towards desired development.

Later, the guests went round the stalls inside the park for the visitors.
