MADARIPUR, Feb 16, 2025 (BSS) - Two youths died when a sand-laden drum truck ran over their motorbike at the East Sanyashirchar area of the Dhaka-Bhanga expressway here last midnight.

The deceased are Limon Bapari, 21, son of Nur Mohammad Bapari hailed from Thengamara village of Shibchar upazila and Nayan, 18, son of Rustam Hawlader hailed from Bakhorerkandi area of the same upazila.

Both the youths were returning home on a motorbike at night from Surjonagar Bazar and Limon died on the spot and Nayan was critically injured when a sand-laden drum truck coming from the opposite side ran over their motorbike at East Sanyashirchar area, said Officer in Charge (OC) Zahirul Islam of Shibchar Highway Police station.

Critical injured Nayan died on the way he was transported to Dhaka for better treatment. Police seized the Drum truck immediately after the accident.
