Operation Devil Hunt: 3 more held in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 16, 2025 (BSS) - The joint forces have arrested three more 
leaders of Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies from Rangpur 
metropolitan area under the ongoing Operation Devil Hunt in the last 48 hours 
ending at 6 am today.

They have been arrested in connections with attacks on the anti-
discrimination student movement processions, murder cases and attempted 
murder cases filed with different police stations in the district.

The Rangpur Metropolitan Police Media Cell confirmed today.

The detainees are: Rangpur Metropolitan Matsyajibi League leader and 
President of Rangpur Metropolitan Ward No. 8 AL Alhaj Azad Rahman Talukder, 
60, President of AL Haragachh Municipality Ward No. 1 Md Lutfar Rahman, 65, 
and Vice-president of Rangpur District Jubo League Mir Sharifuzzaman Shipon, 
49.

Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the concerned police 
stations, police added.
