RANGPUR, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an alleged drug trader with 52.8 kilograms of ganja from Mahiganj area on the Rangpur-Kurigram highway in the metropolis on Sunday night.
 
“On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 searched a covered van of Saudagar Courier Service there and seized the huge quantity of contraband ganja and arrested the man from the spot,” said a press release issued here today.
 
The arrested person was identified as Md Ranu Mia, 40, son of Md Nurul Haque of village Hatura in Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat district.
 
“The elite force handed over the arrested person to Mahiganj police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police for further legal action,” the release added.
